Two separate offerings: an online introduction to the medicine wheel, and in-person ceremony retreats.
A gentle 12-week journey through the four directions: South, West, North and East. No experience needed, and everything is optional. You take what you need.
What the wheel is and where it comes from, what a shaman is, the three worlds and how to journey. Then the four directions and their guides: Serpent, Jaguar, Hummingbird and Eagle.
One live hour on Zoom each week, with teaching, a small practice and a sharing circle. You also get recorded meditations and guided journeys to do at home, and recordings of every session.
It isn't therapy or a replacement for medical or mental health care. The wheel I teach is based on the Andean-rooted wheel that Alberto Villoldo and the Four Winds Society brought to the West, and it comes to me through my own teachers.
A few reduced-price places (£125) are available. Just message me.
I hold multi-night ceremony retreats with a dedicated team. They are small, held spaces, with time to prepare beforehand and to integrate afterwards.
Clear guidance before you arrive on how to prepare, including diet and dream journaling.
Thursday to Sunday, held by me and my dedicated team.
Guidance after the retreat to help you bring what you've experienced into everyday life.
Every retreat begins with a screening form and a conversation, so you know what to expect. Ceremony is not a replacement for medical or mental health care.
I'm Matthew Spiers, a recognised Master Shamanic Practitioner based in the UK, and I run Wiso Ino Tribe. My offerings are held under the name Wiso Ino, which means "black jaguar" in Shipibo.
I came into this work through my own need for healing. After a difficult time in my life, I felt a pull towards the medicine, followed it, and sat my first retreat. It changed how I saw myself and set me on a different path.
I learn from my teachers, and from the plants and spirit themselves. The medicine wheel I teach is based on the Andean-rooted wheel that Alberto Villoldo and the Four Winds Society brought to the West. My ceremony work is rooted in Shipibo cosmology, language and the dream space, taught to me by Shipibo maestros. My training is ongoing.
I hold space in a grounded, direct way, led from the heart, with safety first. That means I keep doing my own work: facing my shadow, being honest about it, and integrating what I'm shown.
